How I work

The therapeutic relationship provides a supportive, confidential and non-judgmental space, where you can be yourself, with acceptance, compassion and sensitivity. I hope my warm, friendly and down to earth nature will help you feel at ease, as you share your story with me.

My approach

We are all undoubtedly shaped by our past experiences and relationships, particularly in our childhoods, which means that our current difficulties often have their roots in our past. Through working together we will explore your life, your history and understand any links between your past and your present experience. This may help you to reach a deeper understanding of yourself, what you are feeling and why, and will enable you to make effective, positive and lasting change in your life. Together, we will focus on your current difficulties, any areas of stuckness or challenge, and find ways to help you cope, and move forward.

As an Integrative therapist I pay attention to the emotional, relational, physical and social aspects of your experience and tailor my approach to fit you.  We will work together to identify any changes you wish to see and help you to gain clarity and confidence. while you move away from feeling stuck or overwhelmed, to living a more fulfilling life.

How I can help you

You may be considering therapy for a number of reasons:

  • Depression, feeling sad or low mood

  • Low self-esteem/lack of confidence

  • Bereavement, loss and miscarriage

  • Separation or divorce

  • Isolation or loneliness

  • Health related issues or diagnosis

  • Personal development

  • Menopause

  • Anxiety, panic attacks or overthinking

  • Negative or intrusive thoughts

  • Issues of abuse

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Stress and burnout

My approach is relational and integrative which means I work with different theories according to your individual needs. My approach is influenced by psychodynamic and humanistic theories, CBT, recent findings in neuroscience, as well as Transactional Analysis and Gestalt theories to understand your problems, and create a meaningful way forward. Together, we will make sense of your experiences and understand what may be holding you back from living the life you want.

I do not give advice or offer solutions; rather I aim to provide you with a warm, genuine relationship where you have the space to express yourself, to understand yourself more fully, and to be empowered to lead your fullest life.
