About me

I aim to provide you with a warm, authentic relationship where you have the space to express yourself, to develop self-awareness, to heal and grow, and lead a fulfilling life.

My Background

Early in my professional career I trained as a nurse and I'm a nursing sister in a Norfolk hospital, where I continue to work on a part time basis. I was drawn to the profession of counselling by my desire to help clients change and find new meaning in their lives, and by my personal experience of therapy. I am passionate about the work I do and fully believe in the potential for change that counselling can bring.

I am a qualified and experienced Integrative counsellor and awarded the following:

BSc (Hons) Integrative counselling - Middlesex University

Advanced Dip Integrative Counselling - Matrix College of counselling

I hold professional Accreditation (Prof Accred) with NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society)

I am fully insured and work in accordance with the Code of Ethics and Professional Practice of NCPS.

Professional experience

In addition to my work in NHS mental health, I work in my private practice. I have also spent time in a variety of settings working  with national non-profit mental health organisations, and I have experience of working with a wide range of issues. I am warm and empathic and I aim to help you feel heard and deeply understood, with compassion and sensitivity. Therapy is a relationship of mutual trust, respect and understanding, and I offer a safe, confidential space, where you can share your thoughts and feelings freely, without any fear of judgement.

I have a genuine regard for my clients and the difficulties they are facing and we will work collaboratively, at a pace you feel comfortable with. I will provide steady support and gentle challenges as needed to help you make the changes you hope for.
